Fall 2015-2016 Season

October 26th:
Waiver Replacement:
Sabr has replaced Naveed Mohammad with Tariq Hathout with the latter passing through waivers unclaimed.  Mohammad was drafted for his leadership and while the veteran was able to provide that, his work commitments created a conflict (and frankly him saving lives is the greater good) and as such agreed to be replaced.  Hathout comes in with instant chemistry with his line mate - brother Ahmad.  Hathout will bring speed and grit to Sabr which they need if they want to climb out of the basement in the standings.

November 2nd:
Sabr trades: Junaid Mohammad
Ikhlas trades: Usamah Rao

Analysis: Coming off the heels of their first loss, one pundit suggested that this was a panic trade by the Ikhlas brain trust considering that their team has been dominant all season (the team issued a statement to quickly deny this).  In Mohammad, Ikhlas gets a pure offensive sniper and a veteran leader to help for the playoff run, the team is counting on him to give them some better finishing around the net to boost their offence from third in the league.  Sabr gives up a sniper but gets a hard working winger in Rao who despite his youth is a winner having won the title multiple times already.  His speed and defensive acumen will be an asset for Sabr who lead the league in goals scored and goals against.

Emaan trades: Mohammad Quddus
Ikhlas trades: Humaiz Shahid

Analysis: Ikhlas made their second deal of the day (note: they still claim they have not broken the glass covering the panic button).  This trade is harder to gauge since both players are new but let’s add some conjecture here for fun.  Quddus gives Ikhlas some depth on the back with his ability to play defence, something the team was eager to add to give their roster some flexibility.  Shahid was well liked by his teammates but due to a ride situation was unable to make all games - a situation that is now resolved with his trade to Emaan.  Reportedly, Ikhlas tried to start an Uber fund to get Shahid to be able to attend regularly but came up short.

November 12th:
Waiver Replacement:
Ikhlas has replaced Zahid Merchant who was not going to be available down the stretch.  Ikhlas wanted to bring in Zuhair Fancy as the replacement but Emaan put in a claim and Ikhlas chose to poach Firasath Ali as compensation.  Ikhlas loses the offensive punch and ball movement from Merchant but gain a physical defenseman in Ali who keeps them strong.  Emaan may end up being the loser in this with the downgrade from Ali to Fancy, the latter an aging defensement who hasn't played in a while

Fall 2013-2014 Season:

September 10th, 2013:
Haya trades: Saboor Mian (Goalie)
Yaqeen trades: Zeeshan Ali (Goalie)

Analysis: Haya and Yaqeen swap rookie goaltenders with the aim to reunite each goalie with their brother on the respective teams, Qamar Mian and Usman Ali.  Hard to provide any other feedback for two new players so let’s call this deal a draw.
